The Gretchen Emery Band (GEB):
One small-town girl with a big voice, one failed government experiment thrashing away on guitars and two unsuspecting dudes on bass and drums holding it all together, giving the Gretchen Emery Band a foundation for soul & blues powered original music. This East Coast-based group was born out of a decades-long partnership between singer Gretchen Emery and guitarist Kenny Windle, an unlikely pair from opposite sides of the tracks. Gretchen’s looks may fool you, but she sings with power, energy, and soulfulness that come straight from the heart, while Kenny plays guitar with a unique use of rhythm and melody, inspired by the Motown that saved his life as a kid. Backed by Randy Waters (bass), Mike Leger (drums), and Frank Donato (keys), the GEB delivers original, soul-fueled rock and blues, blending time-honored influences with modern inspiration and creating a vibe that is deeply rooted in the familiar yet surprisingly fresh at the same time – but don’t trust this bio, come see them live and be sure to hold on tight for a powerful show!
