Did you know: The tiles on most of the Village homes are French style, versus the Spanish style used on The Village School?
French Style has locking tabs on the sides and top;
Nearly all French style tiles are interlocking meaning the tiles hold onto the ones next to it to create a strong and durable roof.
Spanish Style is profiled like the letter “S” so each piece functions as both a pan and a cover.
We’re not quite certain why Spanish style was used on the school, but I suspect it had to do with size of the project and availability of materials.
